The CQC²T Workshop 2020 kicks off on Tuesday 11th February. We are looking forward to having the team together to share our latest research, make new connections and of course, have fun.
We have a full agenda which includes invited speakers, tutorial sessions, research and Centre updates, panel sessions with Q&A, posters and even a speed dating session. A final agenda will be provided closer to the event.
This year we are very pleased to be joined by the newly appointed members of our International Scientific Committee – Prof Klaus Ensslin, Prof Gerd Leuchs, Prof Elisabeth Giacobino and Prof David DiVincenzo – who will also be presenting throughout the workshop. The ISC will be judging this year’s Posters, with the winners being announced at the close of the conference.
We will be awarding prizes to the top 3 2020 Workshop Posters:
1st Prize: $1000
2nd Prize: $750
3rd Prize: $500
All Poster entries need to be submitted by 3rd February 2020. Please send your name and Poster title to firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure you are registered and allocated a Poster number.
Please see below for some important details regarding the Workshop. More specific information around registration and transport to the workshop resort will be provided by your Node Administrators.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Date / Time: The Workshop commences with lunch at 12pm at Mantra Pool side on Tuesday 11th Feb 2020. The workshop concludes at 12pm with lunch being provided until 2pm on Friday 14th Feb 2020.
Venue: Mantra on Salt Beach, Kingscliff, NSW 2487 Australia
Check-in: Is open from 2pm on Tuesday. You are welcome to check-in if your room is available when you arrive. However as we have over 160 people attending there will be allocated times for groups to check-in to help manage the queue. Luggage can be left at reception. Please check-in at the front desk during your allocated time slot to collect your room key.
Group check-in time:
Students:2.50pm – 3.30pm
Program Managers and Professional Staff: 4.15-5.15pm
Post Docs: From 5.30pm
Check-out: Check-out time is 10am on Friday 14th February. Luggage can be left at reception.
Transport: Getting to and from the airport / other locations will be arranged by your Node Administrator. Please check with them for the details.
Posters: The poster sessions will be held in the Mantra foyer starting at 5.30pm on Day 1 – Tuesday 11th Feb, with the winners announced at 11.30am on Friday. Posters can be taken down during lunch on Thursday 13th Feb. Please set up your Poster on arrival or during the afternoon tea session starting at 2.50pm. You must register your name and poster title with Karen Viner-Smith (email@example.com) by the 3rd February to be allocated a poster number.
Breakfast: All breakfast is provided at Season restaurant, located at Peppers Salt Resort & Spa. This is in walking distance from Mantra.
Dinner Day 1: A light dinner will be provided during the Poster session in the Mantra foyer.
Dinner Day 2: A sit-down buffet dinner will be held poolside at Peppers Salt Resort & Spa. This is walking distance from Mantra.
Dinner Day 3: Dinner will be held offsite at Kingscliff Bowling club. Transport will be by bus and buses will be departing from Mantra at 5.30pm. Buses will be returning to the hotel from 8.30pm. You are welcome to play Lawn Bowls, head down to the beach for a swim or relax and enjoy the view from the bar.
Expenses: No personal expenses will be accepted during the workshop as all food and transport will be provided.
REMEMBER: NSW is on AEDT so it is 1 hour ahead of Queensland. Please take this into consideration for flights and agenda times. Bring swimmers and recreational items if you would like.
